We Made All Learning Free. Here's Why — and What We Ask in Return: Feedback.

I built Topfolio's micro-courses the way I wished someone had taught me analytics: short, dense, and runnable in the browser. Then I put a paywall in front of them. That was a mistake, so I removed it.

As of this week, everything you need to learn is free. Videos, written lessons, quizzes, and practice sandboxes — no locked Module 2, no 5-question trial, no card required. If you want proof of what you learned, the optional ₹99 pass gets you AI code review plus a permanently hosted verifiable certificate.

What exactly became free

• Every video lesson across all micro-courses on /courses — zero video paywalls.
• Every written lesson and tutorial — full content, no stripping, no gated modules.
• Every quiz and practice sandbox — unlimited attempts in practice, no trial limits.
• Free Audit Mode — one-click enrollment at ₹0; learn at your own pace, upgrade only if you want the credential.

The deal is simple: learning is free forever. Verification costs ₹99.

Why we did it

Paywalled tutorials punish exactly the learners who need them most — beginners in India deciding whether data analytics is even for them. A ₹3,499 gate before you've written your first JOIN doesn't filter for seriousness; it filters for privilege.

Free changes the maths that matters: attempts and completions. Micro-courses are 2–5 hours of dense work, not 40-hour slogs, so people actually finish them. More finishers means more feedback, better content, and a fair shot at spotting the top 5% who belong in the flagship Career Track.

The ₹99 pass is what keeps the lights on. One UPI payment — less than a cup of chai — covers the AI review and hosted certificate at pure software margins. No ads, no selling your data, no ₹1,00,000 bootcamp pitch hiding behind lesson three.

Free has one price, and it isn't money. It's feedback.
