📋 Assignment Instructions

Part 1: Build Pivot Tables Revenue by Region × Category — create a Pivot Table on a new sheet with Region as rows, Category as columns, and Revenue as values (Sum). Monthly Revenue Trend — create a Pivot Table showing Revenue by month. Group the Order Date field by Month and Year. Salesperson Performance — create a Pivot Table showing Units Sold by Salesperson, with a Region filter (Report Filter or Slicer).

Part 2: Add Interactivity Add a Region Slicer — insert a Slicer for the Region field and connect it to all three Pivot Tables (right-click Slicer → Report Connections). Add a Date Timeline — insert a Timeline for Order Date and connect it to all Pivot Tables. Style the Slicers — choose a consistent color scheme that matches your report theme.

Part 3: Pivot Charts Bar Chart — create a Pivot Chart from the Region × Category table. Use a Clustered Bar chart with data labels. Line Chart — create a Pivot Chart from the monthly trend table. Show the Revenue trend line with markers. Format Charts — add chart titles, clean up gridlines, apply a professional color palette, and add data labels where helpful.

Part 4: Polish Number Formatting — format all Revenue values as currency ($1,234) and Units as numbers with comma separators. Conditional Formatting — highlight the top 3 values in each Pivot Table using a color scale or icon set. Arrange on a Report Sheet — create a "Report" sheet and copy/move your charts and Slicers into a clean, presentable layout.
