Global sales data — 3,671 orders across 4 regions, 13 countries, 3 categories over 2 years. Fields include Order Date, Region, Country, Category, Sub-Category, Quantity, Revenue, Cost, Profit, Discount, Segment, and Ship Mode.

📋 Assignment Instructions Create a Tableau workbook that demonstrates your foundational skills — connecting to data, building core chart types, and using calculated fields.

Part 1: Connect & Explore Connect to the CSV — open Tableau and connect to the sales dataset. Check that data types are correct (dates, numbers, strings). Explore the data — create a quick text table or highlight table to understand the dimensions (Region, Category, etc.) and measures (Revenue, Profit, etc.).

Part 2: Build Visualizations (2 sheets) Bar Chart — Revenue by Country, colored by Region. Sort descending. Add data labels for the top 5 countries. Line Chart — Monthly Revenue trend over the 2-year period. Add a trend line and color by Category.

Part 3: Calculated Field (minimum 1) Create one of the following: Net Profit (subtraction) — SUM([Revenue]) - SUM([Cost]) . Use it in a bar chart and confirm it matches the source Profit column. Order Value Threshold (MIN/MAX) — a field that flags orders above or below the MAX or MIN order value for their Category, e.g. SUM([Revenue]) = MAX([Revenue]) to spot the top order per category.

Part 4: Formatting Titles & labels — give every sheet a clear title. Add axis labels where needed. Color palette — use a consistent color scheme across both sheets. Tooltips — customize tooltips to show relevant context (not just default values).
